Deux Êtres Dans le Froid

This painting, "Deux Êtres dans le Froid," offers a little glimpse into the lives of two Canada geese in a snowy setting near a local pond. A common sight in Kansas, these native birds are often found near water. As I watched the pair walking side-by-side through the snow, it was fun to try and imagine their connection. Perhaps they are friends or mates enjoying a quiet stroll? I painted this one a little bit looser and intentionally limited my color palette to cobalt blue, raw umber, yellow ochre, and burnt sienna to create a more cohesive and harmonious scene.
