Too Quiet

Observing the Kansas prairie throughout my life, several things always draw my attention and have become ingrained in my work. Those things include objects like the grain elevators rising from the horizon, single trees in the distance, warm colors, waving grasses at the side of the road, and the textures of old or abandoned buildings and structures. The weathered patinas fascinate me. Also included are the feelings and impressions from the seasonal changes and weather conditions that create amazing color combinations and shadow patterns that only happen here in Kansas.
