I live in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and have been working with 3D art for over 35 years. I started making miniatures, bas-relief tiles, wall hangings, and geometric shapes using a variety of concrete products and found objects as a medium. My work is heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, Buckminster Fuller, Arman, Duchamp and Claes Oldenburg.
I work with ready-mades and take a minimalist approach by elevating common objects to celebrate industrial designers who have created artistic pieces that are often overlooked. I serve up objects in unexpected ways, but try not to disguise their original purpose. I often create pieces that are tactile, which encourages the viewer to touch the art. I like to add a title to my pieces that are intellectually playful and produce a connection to the viewer.
